Clans in Killing Floor let players join together in groups, so clanmates can be easily recognized among other players.
Clans allow players to get general game achievements and various bonuses.
Basic concepts
Clan leader — the player who created the clan and can invite and remove other players
Clan name — a unique name entered once by the leader when creating the clan. Allowed characters: A–Z, a–z, and underscore (_)
Clan abbreviation — two English letters generated automatically from the clan name (from capital letters, or from the first letters if there are no capitals). Abbreviations may not be unique across clans
Standard clan icon — a solid-color background with the clan abbreviation
Custom clan icon — uploaded by the leader to replace the standard icon
Clan creation date — the date the clan was created (shown in stats)
Join date — the date a player joined the clan (shown in stats)
Zombies killed — zombie kills for each clan member are counted starting from the moment they joined the clan
Patriarchs killed — Patriarch kills for each clan member are counted starting from the moment they joined the clan
Advantages and bonuses
By leading a clan or being a member of one, you gain additional advantages.
Clan bonuses

Clan icon to the left of your nickname and a title with the clan name above the nickname
-
Reduced reflected damage between clan members
-
Respawn near living clan members
Clan rating
All clans with 5 or more players and a minimum of 1,000 points participate in the clan ranking, which can be viewed on our website. Clans that don’t meet the requirements will still be visible in the stats, but will be placed at the bottom of the rating.
The leading positions in the ranking are determined by the total of points scored for each clan.
Points are calculated as follows:
-
For Patriarch kills: the arithmetic mean of Patriarch kills across all clan members, multiplied by 1,000
-
For Zombie kills: the arithmetic mean of Zombie kills across all clan members, divided by 10
Example: In a clan of 6 people with a total of 12 Patriarch kills, the points are 1000 × 12 / 6 = 2,000.
Example: In a clan of 5 people with a total of 10,000 zombie kills, the points are 10000 / 10 / 5 = 200.
