Difficulty levels in Killing Floor
Easy Level
This difficulty level is recommended for beginners as they must learn the map and its features before getting into the actual gameplay. Monsters on this difficulty are extremely fragile, with only 50% of their standard health. The number of monsters in each wave is extremely small, the damage to the player is only 30% of the base damage, and they also give a huge amount of money for killing them. Mutant speed is 95% of normal speed and when you take damage you only lose armor if you have it. Siren screams do not cause damage. Players start with a large amount of money - ?3000, which doubles by the end of the wave. The break time between waves has been increased by 50% and is 1 minute 30 seconds. In order to fight on this difficulty level, there is little need for tactics, regardless of whether you are playing alone or not. Even the Patriarch, compared to other difficulties, is not difficult to defeat. It’s better not to play on this difficulty at all, but to start from the Normal level.
Normal Level
This difficulty level is for players who have already played on easy difficulty a couple of times and think they are ready for something more challenging, or for players who want to get serious right away. Monsters have a standard amount of health and damage inflicted on the player (which is a significant change). The money for kills is half as much as in the easy level. The Patriarch poses a moderate threat. Normal mode requires teamwork. Don’t underestimate players who are just starting out.
Hard Level
This difficulty level is intended for players who have developed their skills well enough and can pass the normal difficulty level without any problems. The number of monsters in the wave increases, along with their increased health by 35%, increased damage to the player by 25%, and increased speed by 15%. Killing the Patriarch requires good reflexes and teamwork, especially for a relatively unleveled team. Strategy is important and the chance that you will see a solo Patriarch kill on a full server is also extremely low.
Suicide Level
Only the best of the best should choose this difficulty level. The number of monsters in each wave has increased significantly compared to other modes, they move 20% faster, their health has increased by 55% and damage to players has increased by 50%. Players start with ?2000 at the beginning of the game, and they give very little money for kills, which is why those players who receive more money must give part of it to those who need it. The Patriarch is incredibly difficult to kill, and players individually can be quickly killed by him. Without tactics and good team play, your team will be doomed to death.
Hell on earth
Hell on Earth was added during Christmas 2010. It has all the modifications from the old Suicidal, compared to Normal difficulty, creatures have 75% more health, do 75% more damage and move 30% faster: players spawn with ?1000 and have 35% less profit. New changes have also been added, designed to make the game more difficult.
