Killing Floor: How to Restore Russian Language

If your Killing Floor game language changed to English or another language, here’s how to restore Russian language settings.

Quick Fix: Steam Settings

Method 1: Steam Properties

1. Open Steam - Launch Steam client
2. Right-click Killing Floor - In your library
3. Select Properties - Open game properties
4. Go to Language tab - Find language settings
5. Select Russian - Choose русский from dropdown
6. Close and restart - Game will download Russian files

Method 2: Steam Launch Options

1. Right-click game → Properties
2. Set Launch Options
3. Add: -language=ru
4. Launch game - Russian should be active

Manual Configuration

Edit Configuration File

1. Navigate to: Documents\My Games\KillingFloor\KFGame\Config
2. Open KFUser.ini
3. Find [Engine.Engine] section
4. Look for language setting
5. Change to: Language=rus or Language=russian
6. Save and restart game

Verify Installation

Check Game Files

1. Right-click game in Steam → Properties
2. Local Files → Verify integrity
3. Wait for verification - May download language files
4. Restart game - Language should be restored

If Language Files Missing

Reinstall Language Pack

1. Uninstall game - Through Steam
2. Reinstall - Choose Russian during installation
3. Or download - Language pack separately if available
