Killing Floor Unlockable Characters
Killing Floor has many characters locked behind achievements or events. While most are DLC, there are several unique skins you can unlock for free by playing.
1. The Chickenator (Commando Chicken)
- Description: A man in a giant chicken suit.
- How to Unlock: You must own both Killing Floor and the indie game The Ball on Steam.
- Alternative: Sometimes unlockable during special events or via the “Twisted Christmas” achievements.
2. Baddest Santa (Robot Santa)
- Description: An evil robotic Santa Claus.
- How to Unlock: Unlock 10 of the 13 Christmas Achievements (only available during Christmas events or on servers running the Christmas event mode).
- Achievements include: “Merry Friggin’ Christmas”, “Rudolph”, etc.
3. D.A.R. (Domestic Assistant Robot)
- Description: A friendly robot.
- How to Unlock: Complete the “Snow” event achievements on the map Moonbase.
- Requirements: Unlock 10 out of 13 “Moonbase” achievements.
4. Grim Reaper
- Description: Death itself.
- How to Unlock: Unlock 6 out of 6 “Halloween Sideshow” achievements on the map Bedlam.
- Difficulty: Hard. Requires finding hidden items and killing specific Zeds.
5. Steampunk Mr. Foster
- Description: Mr. Foster with a steampunk gas mask.
- How to Unlock: Own both Killing Floor and the game The Ball. Or complete the “Summer Sideshow” event achievements on Abusement Park.
Note on “Unlock All” Mods
There are “Perk Leveling” servers that promise to unlock all characters. Be careful. While they can unlock achievements, using third-party software (SAM - Steam Achievement Manager) is safer if you just want the skins without the grind.
