Commando: The Eyes of the Team

While Sharpshooters watch for big guys, the Commando watches for everything else. You provide critical intel (health bars, invisible enemies) and keep the swarms off your teammates.

Role Overview

• Primary: Kill Stalkers and Crawlers before they reach the team.
• Intel: Reveal invisible Stalkers to teammates. See Zed health bars to call out weak enemies.
• Zed Time: Extend Zed Time (slow motion) by killing Zeds while it is active.

Perk Bonuses

• See Cloaked Zeds: You see Stalkers (and the Patriarch) when they are invisible.
• See Enemy Health: You know exactly how much HP a Scrake has left.
• Reload Speed: Fast reloads for Assault Rifles.
• Zed Time Extension: Each kill during Zed Time resets the timer, giving your team more slow-mo time to land headshots.

Weapon Choices

1. Bullpup

• Role: Starter.
• Verdict: Reliable, low recoil, cheap scope. Good for early waves.

2. AK-47

• Role: Workhorse.
• Pros: High damage per bullet. Good hip-fire.
• Cons: High recoil, lower fire rate.

3. SCAR-MK17

• Role: Precision.
• Pros: Extremely high damage and accuracy. Single-shot mode is deadly efficient.
• Cons: Small magazine (20 rounds).
• Usage: Use Semi-Auto mode for tapping heads.

4. FN FAL (if available/DLC)

• Role: DPS hose.
• Pros: Fast fire rate, high damage. Good for panic situations against big Zeds.
• Cons: Burns ammo instantly.

The Commando’s Job

1. The Stalker Callout

You see them. Your team doesn’t.

• Prioritize Stalkers. If they sneak up on your Sharpshooter, his aim is ruined.
• Shout “Patriarch cloaked on the left!” during boss fights.

2. Extending Zed Time

This is your secret weapon.

• When Zed Time triggers (slow motion), do not spray.
• Wait 1-2 seconds, then kill one Zed. This resets the timer.
• Wait again, kill another.
• A good Commando can keep Zed Time going for 10-15 seconds, allowing the team to wipe the entire wave safely.

3. Trash Cleaning

Don’t focus the Scrake unless he is low (you can see his HP!). Focus on the 20 Clots surrounding the Scrake so your Sharpshooter has a clear shot.

Tips

• Single Fire Mode: Most Commando weapons have a select fire (Middle Mouse or Alt-Fire usually). Use Semi-Auto for Clots to save ammo.
• Health Bars: Use this info. Tell your team “Scrake is 10% HP, finish him!” or “FP is full health, don’t shoot!”.
