Description of monsters in Killing Floor
Clot
One of the weakest monsters in the game. They are found on every wave, starting from the very first, in large numbers, most often found next to bloats or in the company of gorefasts. They move slowly, have a low amount of health, and do little damage. Their weakest point is their head. Alone they are not dangerous, but an inexperienced player who gets surrounded by them can receive serious damage, since clots tend to grab and hold until they are killed or seriously injured, at the same time they cause damage. An immobilized player will most often take damage from stronger monsters. The standard set of the game includes a white mutator, which allows you to leave only this type in the game.
Bloat
Appears from the first wave, often in the company of four clots. Moves slowly. It can shower players with its poisonous bile, which can also fall on other monsters. If this happens and the level of damage to the monster is sufficient, then it will immediately switch to it to take revenge. Often players do this with Flash Pound, luring him and exposing him to the splashes of the fat man’s bile and while both monsters are busy with each other, the players kill the strongest one. The bloat also has a kitchen cleaver with which it does little damage. The standard set of the game includes a white mutator, which allows you to leave only this type in the game.
Berserk (Gorefast)
Appears on the initial waves in small groups. It is considered a weak monster, has a blade attached to straps instead of a hand, can accelerate for a short time if the player is close enough and attack while moving. Most often he finishes off the wounded. The standard set of the game includes a white mutator, which allows you to leave only this type in the game.
Crawler
Climbs out of dark corners and ventilation shafts at the beginning of medium waves and in small groups. It is considered a weak monster since it can be killed with one shot to the head from any weapon or several to the body, but at the same time it is fast and barely noticeable in the dark and can cause serious damage to a player who is not vigilant. They usually attack the player while jumping.
Stalker
The weak but fast experimental creature has the ability to become almost invisible before attacking upon sight of the target. Can be stunned when receiving serious damage. Already at medium waves they appear in groups from dark, high places. Players often receive damage from behind or from the side, due to the fact that sometimes they notice stalkers too late and try to shoot at them, for example, with a grenade launcher, thus causing serious damage to themselves.
Predator (Husk)
An average monster appears in the initial waves with a relatively small supply of health and a cannon that shoots blobs of burning fuel over long distances. While it is charging, the player has time to take cover or dodge, shoots at the surface under his feet, and when it explodes, all players caught in the zone burst into flames. Has strong resistance to fire, but moves slowly.
Siren
Appears on medium waves with a low level of health, tied with belts and despite this can bite, which causes little damage, has an average circular attack area, and moves slowly. Considered to be an average monster. The most effective weapon in terms of ammunition costs is a flamethrower or the like. Her attacks stun players, disorienting them, inflict damage in a small radius, ignoring armor, destroy mines, flying grenades and rockets, including Husk shots.
Butcher (Scrake)
This strong monster appears from medium waves and inflicts heavy damage with a chainsaw blow and has a large number of hit points. Skrake targets the player who has dealt him the most damage. When his health level drops below a certain point (depending on the difficulty level), he goes berserk and does not stop until he is destroyed. Can be stunned by a large explosion.
Fleshpound
The most powerful monster of all the ordinary ones. First appears on the final waves, has a very large amount of health and damage points. When receiving damage exceeding a certain value, he goes into a rage, bursting into a loud roar, while the speed of his movement and attack from acceleration greatly increase. When enraged, the lamp on his chest lights up red. Often, due to their vitality, they wear out all the weak monsters in their path - they break through the players’ defenses, thereby giving other monsters a chance to get closer to the target. At very high difficulty levels they have increased resistance to head damage. The most effective classes against him are sniper and demolition.
Patriarch
At the end of all waves, after closing the merchant, players will have to face the most powerful mutant boss. Heavily armed, with the ability to become invisible and at the same time move quickly. The first thing players will have to deal with is a rocket launcher, which deals a huge amount of damage over an area. While it is charging, players can hide or dodge if it happens in an open area. Another weapon of the patriarch is an aircraft machine gun. As with the rocket launcher, players must hide from the patriarch’s line of sight, but they cannot dodge him. Sometimes the patriarch can become invisible in order to get close and attack in close combat with a spike or claws. In this case, the player flies a short distance, this gives him time to heal and continue the fight. By exploding the welded door, the patriarch will cause damage to all players standing behind it. When the number of lives falls below a certain level, the patriarch will turn invisible and run away to heal. He can do this three times in total, using all three syringes attached to his thigh.
