Killing Floor: Where It All Began
Killing Floor, also known as KF1, is the original game that launched the entire franchise. Released in 2009 by Tripwire Interactive, this co-operative first-person shooter set the foundation for what would become one of the most beloved co-op horror series in gaming.
The Birth of a Legend
Killing Floor started as a mod for Unreal Tournament 2004 before becoming a standalone commercial release. The game’s dark, gritty atmosphere and intense co-op gameplay quickly gained a dedicated following.
The Story
Set in the United Kingdom, Killing Floor follows a group of mercenaries fighting against cloned specimens called “Zeds” created by the Horzine Biotech corporation. The outbreak has spread across the country, and it’s up to you and your team to survive wave after wave of increasingly difficult enemies.
